About US

Master of Arts Program in Applied Finance has been developed by academics and specialists in the field of Finance (leading by Associate Professor Dr Pattaragit Netiniyom and Assistant Professor Dr Nattawoot Koowattanatianchai, CFA  of Kasetsart Business School) to cope with rapid changes in economy and socio-cultural contexts in Thailand. This graduate program aims to produce graduates who not only have breadth and depth knowledge in finance, but also can demonstrate professional honesty and integrity in all aspects of their profession in the financial services or related industry. Integrating business ethics into the curriculum is a systematic approach to fostering high quality leadership skills in our students, who will potentially become high-level financial managers in the future. This aspect of the program is also consistent with philosophy, vision, mission, and value of Kasetsart University that “creates and develops varied bodies of knowledge, and forms people who are intelligent, who think rationally, who behave morally, who are conscious of the common good, and who produce high standard work capable of competing in the world market”. Our ambition is therefore to produce financial practitioners and consultants who are capable of working competently and ethically for both public and private organizations that are active in both domestic and international money and capital markets.

In 2022, the program underwent a major revision resulting in many subjects being rectified to harmonize with renowned professional financial curriculums especially the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program curriculum and the CFP (Certified Financial Planning) program curriculum.
